Yes! Kids 13 and older can sign up and create their profile on Till without a parent signing up first. Kids are prompted to invite a parent or guardian to “create a family” on Till. A parent or guardian must set up an account for a kid to be issued a Till debit card and have access to all of Till’s smart spending features.
Here’s how to sign up as a kid:
-
Download Till from the App Store or Google Play Store
-
Tap Sign Up
-
Tap Create new family
-
Choose Child or teenager for your role
-
Next, we’ll ask you a few questions, such as your name and date of birth, and you’ll need to verify your email address and phone number (don’t have a phone number? Just tap Skip.)
-
Select whether or not you want to enable Face/Touch ID and push notifications, and choose a photo for your profile icon!
-
If you have a referral code, you can enter it now, or tap Get Started to continue
Once you’ve completed your profile, you’ll arrive at your dashboard, where you can request a parent to join and share your referral code with your friends!
Requesting a Parent to Join
Parents and guardians can scan the QR code on a kid’s dashboard to begin the family creation process immediately on their personal device, or to add the kid to their existing family account.
Kids can also send their parent or guardian an invite link by tapping the Send Request to Parent button.
