How do Till accounts work?

Till is a family banking app that helps kids and teens learn smart money habits. Here's how it works:

Getting Started

Parents or guardians download the Till app and create a family account. After completing verification, you'll choose a card type for each child — digital-only or physical + digital — and select your Premium subscription (monthly or annual).

The Parent Account

As the Account Owner*, you control the family account. You can:

• Add money to your kids' accounts instantly
• Set up recurring allowances and chores
• Monitor their spending in real-time
• Add other family or community members to your account*

*Some features are limited between account owners and admin users. If you want more information on the difference between roles, visit our Help Center article: Family Roles.

The Kid Account

Each child added to your account gets their own Visa® debit card. Kids can:

• Track their spending and savings
• Set savings goals
• Learn to budget with parental guidance
• Use their card for purchases (with parental oversight)

Card Options

• Digital-only cards: Available immediately. Can be used by adding to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, or by entering the card details directly on websites and apps.
• Physical cards: Includes a digital card available immediately while physical card ships (7-10 business days standard, or 3-5 business days expedited).
• Note: To add cards to Apple Pay or Google Pay, kids must be 13+ (Apple and Google requirement)
